Made a Python script for it. Not very user friendly but if you know how to run them, put frames in “inframes” folder, edit the script to include an API key, run it, frames show up in “outframes” folder. https://mmaker.pw/junk/remove_bg.zip

50 free images per month w/ the API, though it says the web version is completely free.

Have to upload all the frames individually, they have an API which makes it pretty easy.

Yeah, with reCAPTCHA, I imagine it’s still possible to write a script to batch upload to that though.

Another test, did some manual cleanup on this one, but only took around 10 minutes altogether! Not bad.

You can upscale the low res output and use it as a matte on the original video (which is what I did here). I can agree with the price point being steep though. But, the pricing page says the web version is free, so theoretically making a script to batch upload frames is possible.

You have to give it each frame individually, but that’s what scripting is for

For sure, in a professional environment you need a higher quality result and no automated tool will do that, manual labor is required. For YTPMV or similar though a result like this is acceptable if you’re just making a small thing and want it done and out of the way.
